Introduction

Hi, Y’all!

Some background about myself:
I am in my 30s, South Florida raised, and a U.S. Army enlisted veteran. I served a total of eight years. My tenure consisted of deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan and stationed at various locations to include Fort Bragg, NC, Schofield Barracks, HI, and Fort Lewis, WA, an overseas assignment to the Republic of Korea. I graduated from the School of International Service at American University here in Washington, D.C., where I received my degree in international studies and with a focus in Latin/South America; having traveled to Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia, Peru, and Bolivia in my personal time made me appreciate and love the Latin/South America region. I currently work in Washington DC for the USG.

I live with my boyfriend, an attorney, and two Siamese cats, full-time nappers, in Arlington, Virginia. We enjoy hiking, camping, kayaking, and the occasional stroll to our nearby Red Robins. I’ve also completed six marathons – five of which include the Marine Corps Marathon.

I decided to blog and capture my camping adventures to detail folks looking for reviews of areas we have traveled! Thanks for the interest! πŸ™‚
